That’s why we love to lean into morning rituals, to help start off our days on the right foot and feel accomplished before we’ve even opened our laptops. Read on for how we do it.
Create a morning beverage routine to look forward to
We can’t be the only ones who go to bed dreaming of our morning caffeinated beverage. And while some people like to grab a coffee or tea in a rush on the way to work, there’s something extra special to us about turning caffeine routines into rituals. It only takes a few steps, and it saves you money in the long run.

Step 3: Keep products on subscription
Once you find coffee beans, tea bags, or matcha powder you love–you’ll never want to be without it. Most sites now offer subscriptions, and they often come at a lower cost than a one-off buy. This guarantees you’ll never experience that dreaded day when you wake up and realize you’ve run out again.
Get excited by planning ahead
Speaking of things to look forward to, we swear by planning ahead each night to ensure we have things to be excited about all throughout the day. To us, that means committing to a morning workout (and we won’t give you specific advice on what workouts to do here, because the reality is that the best workout is the one that you stick to)–and this also means laying your workout clothes by the door, so you really have no excuse.
But we don’t just restrict planning ahead to working out! It saves us time and energy to ideate on what outfit we’re going to wear and what lunch and dinner we’ll make the next night. That allows us to mentally plan ahead for the day, saving us energy on decisions when we finally do get there.
Begin your day with gratitude
We don’t have to tell you that starting the day with a quick meditation–even just 5 minutes–is a better way to kick things off than scrolling through your phone. But we also know that meditation isn’t for anyone; though one thing we can universally prescribe is gratitude. In the morning, think of at least 5 things you’re grateful for, and don’t forget the “why.” It guarantees your day begins on the right foot.
Choose energizing products
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we still wake up feeling exhausted–and all the caffeine in the world can’t help. That’s where some of our favorite products come in: we love energizing ingredients like ginseng and ginger into our face creams, body washes, and eye gels; and we’ll never say no to a morning ice rolling session. Don’t have an ice roller? Simply rub a cube over your face–or jump in a cold shower for 5 minutes.
