Party Tip #1: Plan it around the food
Do you have a favorite pizza place or sushi takeout spot you’ve been dying to get all of your friends to try for months now? Why not plan a party around it? Invite your friends over to hang out, listen to some good music, and indulge in your favorite treats–and it may just become a weekly tradition.
Party Tip #2: Host a tea-party potluck
We get it. Hosting a party on Sunday evening is stressful. Once everyone goes home, and you’re left with all the cleanup and a seriously strong delayed case of Sunday Scaries, you may be questioning whether or not it was worth it. Lucky for you, there’s an easy solve: a Sunday afternoon soiree, in the form of a British-inspired high tea. Have your friends bring over their favorite sweet treats or types of tea and enjoy them all while hanging out and chatting about the weekend gone by. It’ll end early, it’s an easy clean-up, and you might just sample some delicious new sweets in the process.
Party Tip #3: Center it around the show of the moment
One thing many of TV’s most recent hits have in common: they aired on a Sunday. There’s no better way to beat the Sunday Scaries than invite your friends over to come watch in unison–and then you’ll have something to look forward to on Monday, too: the prospect of spirited discussion without worrying about spoilers.
Party Tip #4: Work it out
Weekends are for seeing friends and working out, but sometimes it can be hard to find the time to do both. That’s why one of our top tips is to combine them. Try inviting a group of friends to your favorite hot yoga class, followed by coffee and tea at your apartment or somewhere nearby. You’ll feel refreshed and ready for the week and you will have socialized in the process.
