There’s nothing better than gathering with friends or family to enjoy a delicious cocktail or two on a summer evening - but there’s no reason you need to break the bank grabbing your after-work (or weekend!) drinks at a packed and pricey restaurant or bar.

That’s why we’ve been spending years testing and crafting as many perfect cocktails as possible in order to bring you a comprehensive guide to all of our favorite cocktails.

Read on for a list of our favorite cocktails–we’ve grouped them by season, based on when the fresh ingredients they contain peak, but, as with all of our recipes–you can (and should!) enjoy each and every one year round.

pineapple campari spritz

Summer: Pineapple Campari Spritz

This might be the newest addition to our cocktail repertoire, but in our minds, it’s already timeless. Pro tip: opt for these between May and August, during pineapple’s peak season.

Food Pairing: Pork Shoulder Sandwiches – rich pork balances out the pineapple’s sweetness perfectly for an unforgettable warm-weather meal!

Elderflower Gin and Tonic Cocktail Recipe by Casa de Suna

Spring: Elderflower Gin & Tonic

Our Elderflower G&T brings the taste of a Great British Summer (minus the rain) to you, no matter where you’re enjoying it. Though our recipe leverages elderflower syrup and not the fresh flowers, they do bloom in the late spring through June – which makes them ideal to sip as your summer kicks off.

Food Pairing: Grilled Lamb Chops are the perfect springtime pick. If you’d prefer something lighter (and perfectly on UK-theme), our Earl Grey Scones slot in just as beautifully.

Mandarin Spicy Margarita recipe by Casa de Suna

Winter: Spicy Mandarin Margarita

As with most citrus, mandarin is at its best between November and April. That makes our spicy mandarin marg the ideal zesty pick-me-up–perfect for brightening up the longer, darker months.

Food Pairing: If you’re going for a full meal, the Asian flavors of the mandarin are the perfect complement to our delicious, miso-forward roast chicken.

Spiced Mulled Cider recipe by Casa de Suna; CDS | New Year’s Eve Cocktail Recipes Round-Up

Fall: Spiced Mulled Cider

Mulled cider in the fall hardly needs an explanation – it’s when apples are at their absolute best, you’re spending more time at home, and there’s nothing more comforting than filling your place with the smells of fall.

Food Pairing: Take things to Nancy Meyers levels of cozy fall perfection by serving up your batch of cider alongside some pumpkin pie spiced cheesecake. It doesn’t get more autumnal than that!
