And, if you had to quarantine with your S.O., you can probably attest that it wasn’t all roses. But, we embraced the at-home date night and decided we’ll keep up the tradition even when we don’t have to.
Here are a few of our favorite tips & tricks for a date night that’s not all about Netflix & Chilling.
Kick off date night by making the meal together. It’s fun (especially when you have a good playlist and some pre-dinner wine). If you or your special someone isn’t exactly the ideal sous chef, you can keep it simple. We love this lightened up Brown Butter-Basted Steak. It pairs great with a quick-and-easy fresh tomato salad.
Date night doesn’t have to be all about the food. Sometimes it’s fun to get creative with a signature cocktail. We love this Negorini Sbagliato—and it’s only three ingredients.
Put out the place settings and light a candle at the table (no, not on the couch). In this version of date night, we recommend ditching the technology. Put your phones away, keep the TV off, and enjoy each other’s company, just like you would at a restaurant. Here a few of our favorite picks:
