How to Thrive in 2025
But from setting goals to changing habits, it’s hard to know where to start. That’s why, this year, we decided to tap a few of the most inspiring people we know to get their tips and recommendations for leveling up and living your best life this year.
According to Diana Barnett, Health Coach
Vibrant health can be simple and accessible. My number one tip? Start with a healthy salad. Lining your stomach with a salad will aid with digestion and the fiber content will contribute to satiety.
My other easy tip? Pause between bites! Even put your fork down. We all eat too fast, including me! Slowing down is another gift to your digestion system.
According to Bill Wells, Chairman & CEO at Evizone
“Two huge components of success in business leadership are communication and inspiration.
Business leaders achieve results through creating and leading teams, both small and large, of other people. Convincing, motivating and inspiring these people is what business leadership is mostly about.
Learning to communicate effectively through the spoken and written word is incredibly important. In my own career I have often felt that the years I spent on the debate team in high school and college were incredibly useful in my future career.
I also believe persistence is a deeply underrated element for business success. Success in my mind is often one percent inspiration and 99% persistence.
Two books that highlight the power of communication and the refusal to give up about The Gathering Storm and Their Finest Hour, the first two volumes of Winston S. Churchill’s six volume history of the second world war. While they’re not business books, their lessons embedded in these two books are timeless and universal.
According to Claudia Germuga, founder of Bodywise and SLT instructor
This year, get really inquisitive about the subtle ways your body speaks to you. Treat yourself like a detective! That flutter in your stomach, the goosebumps along your arms, that twinge in your gut, or nagging feeling that seems so swift or small you could very easily write it off.
The body doesn’t speak in words or language but through sensation. To listen to the body requires us to feel, not hear. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of folks who will encourage us to develop this skill or remind us to practice (because it requires practice). It can be challenging because our culture doesn’t teach, promote or reinforce us to validate this language. But it is something you can do everyday to build implicit trust in yourself — and with your body.
Bring this practice with you into any activity you do: listen to your sensations while riding your bike, in the sauna, taking the subway, at your workout class, on a walk in the park, while you’re out dancing on the weekends, cooking yourself a meal or having a conversation with someone new.
Attuning to yourself in this way will eventually become second nature and when it does, you’ll find yourself better able to advocate for your individual needs, set clear boundaries, take care of yourself and follow your desires without a second thought (or having to text a few friends for their opinions). You’ll know exactly what’s aligned for you based on how it feels in your body.
