BLTs are a classic for a reason.

Our spicy BLT is about to become your lunchtime go-to, thanks to Pina Chil’ada, our smoky-sweet hot sauce. Butcher-style thick cut bacon baked in the oven creates the perfect crisp and makes prep a breeze – prepare to take your sandwich game to new heights.

How to Make It

Difficulty: Easy

Overall Time: 40 min

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients
  • 6 Slices Thick-Cut Bacon
  • ¼ Cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Casa Picosa Pina Chil’ada Hot Sauce, plus extra for building sandwiches
  • 4 Thick-Cut Seeded Sourdough Slices, toasted
  • 1 Garlic Clove, peeled
  • 4 Butter Lettuce Leaves
  • 1 Large Heirloom Tomato, thickly sliced
  • ¼ tsp Kosher Salt
Instructions
  1. Arrange rack in center of oven. Preheat to 375°F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Arrange bacon in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake in the center of oven until crisp, 20 to 25 minutes. Carefully transfer each slice to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  3. Whisk mayo with hot sauce in a small bowl until combined.
  4. Rub each slice of toast with garlic, then smear generously with mayo-mixture. Divide lettuce among two bread slices, then top with tomatoes. Season with salt, then a drizzle of hot sauce. Top with bacon. Place remaining two slices of bread, spicy mayo-side down. Cut sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
