Add seasonal blooms
You don’t have to go overboard when you’re hosting something as casual as happy hour, but a few strategically placed flowers will spruce up your space in no time. (Bonus points if you shop sustainable blooms.) And, flowers have been scientifically proven to enhance people’s moods. So you’re already off to a great start.
Serve a creative cocktail
We love a good wine and cheese night, but hosting a Happy Hour implies cocktails. Don’t worry, said cocktails don’t have to be complicated. All you have to do is serve a reinvented fan-favorite – like a martini – to impress your guests. Chef Laurent Tourondel did all of the hard work for us. He created a Cucumber-Basil Martini that quickly wins the heart of martini- and mojito-drinkers alike. Get the recipe here.
Put the app in happy hour
With a martini as refreshing as this, we need to think strategically about our snacks. We recommend keeping it light. Cut up some fresh veggies and serve alongside some of your favorite dips. Hummus totally counts, but maybe try serving up some
Za’tar-Spiced Beet Dip with Goat Cheese and Hazelnuts? Get a little wild; it is happy hour after all.
Add in some extras
You know your crowd. Maybe they love a good playlist or get pumped to play games. Get all of the extras ready, just in case your happy hour suddenly rolls into an impromptu dinner party. (Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.)
