Easy entertaining. I promise it’s not an oxymoron. I have a few kitchen staples that I always keep on-hand juuuust in case we have an impromptu dinner party. (Hey, it really can happen.) But, if I have time to shop beforehand, I almost always opt for fajitas. Fun. Interactive. Tasty. You can’t go wrong. Here’s how to try it for yourself.

Let’s start with the grocery list.

For the Fajitas
Lime juice
Cumin
Crushed red pepper flakes
Protein of choice
Bell peppers
Onion
Sour cream
Shredded cheese
Tortillas
For Gauc (because, obviously)
Avocados
Lime
Onion

Cilantro
Roma tomatoes
Garlic
Cayenne pepper
Tortilla chips

For the Margs (now it’s a party)
Tequila
Limes (and lots of them!)
Cointreau

Now, let’s get planning.

I love to have my guests involved –without having to make them do too much work. So, let’s set aside some time to prepare the guacamole and squeeze the lime juice for the margaritas before the guests arrive. Then, we’ll cook the fajita onions, peppers, and protein right before we’re ready to eat. When serving a crowd, we’ll want to make sure the tortillas stay toasty, so we recommend using a tortilla warmer.

It's entertaining time.

It’s no secret that I love a good tablescape. And, the best part of fajitas is that the toppings can double as decor. Set the cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and chips out in on-trend bowls. It can get a little messy, so I recommend using an easy-to-wash table runner.
