Brand Spotlight: Caskata
Brand Spotlight: Caskata
For years, she had noticed that entertaining china was too formal to break out every day, while everyday tableware was not sufficient to impress at a dinner party. Her goal? Create a line capable of serving both purposes in style.
In 2007, she launched Caskata, a collection of dinnerware designed to encourage gathering and lingering. With collections, which Laughlin started by designing herself in photoshop, inspired by childhood summers on Nantucket, the pieces are timeless without being trendy and beautiful without being fragile.
The pieces have gained a loyal following over the years; they were the tableware providers at 2017’s Met Gala, and eagle-eyed viewers may have also caught them featured in a dinner scene in 2021’s Oscar-winning Don’t Look Up. Our favorite pieces from Caskata? The gorgeous candle-holding hurricanes in a variety of vibrant colored glass. They’re the easiest way to add a special touch to your home, whether you’re dressing up a tablescape for a fancy dinner or simply relaxing on your own. Just as Laughlin intended.
