We love referencing those resources whenever we’re in a tough spot (or simply need a quick reset), but today, we’re doing something a bit lighter–and sharing our favorite wellness gadgets and products with you, at every price range.
Red light masks
If you’ve seen someone you know post on social media in a mask that looks a bit futuristic, you can pretty much guarantee they’re wearing a red-light mask. But they’re more than just a funny Instagram selfie: red light has been touted as a great way to treat skin aging, improve skin tone, stimulate collagen production, and more.
Dry brush and wooden paddle
Whether you believe in lymphatic drainage (the concept that you can use light on-skin stimulation to drain fluid from your lymph nodes, increase circulation, and reduce the appearance of bloating and cellulite), it’s hard to deny that scrubbing yourself with a dry brush (tap each lymph point–ankles, behind the knees, under the armpits, and behind the jaw–twice before brushing–towards the heart, except when brushing your stomach) can make you feel good. It’s one of those things we love for boosting our energy in the morning, and we always feel even better when we make time to use a wooden paddle to massage in our body oil post shower too.
Oura ring
Oura rings are one of those things you don’t feel like you could possibly need–until you get one. We’re obsessed with the way they help us understand our sleep (and optimize it with recommendations on when to go to bed and wake up), record workout heart rate, track cycles and so much more. Yes, they’re expensive, but they’re well worth the investment.
Slip eye mask
Speaking of optimizing sleep, there’s simply nothing better for ensuring you get your required eight hours than a good sleep mask. For those among us wanting to protect our lashes (whether you have lash extensions, an eyelash lift, or they’re simply sensitive), Slip makes an incredible contoured eye mask that keeps all light out while protecting your precious lashes.
Productivity Method planner
The more productive we are, the more relaxed we can be. That’s why we love following former Oxford student and current entrepreneur Grace Beverly’s podcast,
Working Hard, and also why we’re fully on-board with her productivity planner. With detailed note, sleep, budget, and meal planning, plus significant space for to-dos and extra pages for goal mapping, it’s one of those things you won’t know how you ever lived without.
Bath oils & epsom salts
Unwinding at the end of the day is always best done with a bath and a book. Our preferred baths involve lots of potions. We’re particularly partial to Susanne Kauffman’s bath oils, which feel like being transported to a spa in the Alps, paired with a hefty scoop of Epsom salts to ward off muscle soreness.
Puzzles
Whenever we
really need to unwind, we reach for puzzles to calm our minds–and give our hands something to do besides scrolling through our phones (yes, we’re all guilty). Our favorite brand,
Ordinary Habit, is available in the shop and offers puzzles so pretty they’re basically art.
As always, it’s worth noting that we are not doctors and this does not constitute medical advice–but we still think it can help just about anyone (especially when combined with whatever else you’ve already been advised to do).
