Classic French Vinaigrette

A good vinaigrette is one of the most useful things you can have in your kitchen. We're sharing our favorites - because once you start making your own, store-bought doesn't really cut it anymore.

This one is the classic. Dijon, red wine vinegar, shallot, and good olive oil. It goes on everything.

Serves: Makes 1/4 cup

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 small shallot, finely minced
  • ½ tsp sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Add all ingredients to a small bowl or glass jar.
  2. Whisk or shake until fully combined.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
